    A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning utilities and transportation.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. IC 8-22-3-4.3 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2000]: Sec. 4.3. (a) This section applies to the board of an airport authority established by a city having a population of more than one hundred ten thousand (110,000) but less than one hundred twenty thousand (120,000) in a county with a population of more than four hundred thousand (400,000) but less than seven hundred thousand (700,000).
    (b) Notwithstanding section 4 of this chapter, the board of an airport authority consists of the following six (6) members:
        (1) Four (4) members appointed by the city executive of a city having a population of more than one hundred ten thousand (110,000) but less than one hundred twenty thousand (120,000) in a county with a population of more than four hundred thousand (400,000) but less than seven hundred thousand (700,000).
        (2) The mayor or the mayor's designee of a city that has a

population of more than thirty-three thousand eight hundred fifty (33,850) but less than thirty-three thousand nine hundred (33,900) in a county with a population of more than four hundred thousand (400,000) but less than seven hundred thousand (700,000).
        (3) The mayor or the mayor's designee of a city having a population of more than seventy-five thousand (75,000) but less than ninety thousand (90,000) in a county with a population of more than four hundred thousand (400,000) but less than seven hundred thousand (700,000).
    (c) Not more than two (2) members appointed under subsection (b)(1) may be members of the same political party.
