Synopsis: Prohibit ATMs at gambling sites. Prohibits the placement of an automated teller machine (ATM) at a racetrack or off-track betting facility used for pari-mutuel wagering on horse races, on-board a riverboat on which gambling is authorized, or in an on shore riverboat facility where tokens or chips are purchased.

    A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning state offices and administration.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. IC 4-31-2-1.5 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2000]: Sec. 1.5. "Automated teller machine" means a piece of unmanned electronic or mechanical equipment that performs routine financial transactions for authorized individuals.
    SECTION 2. IC 4-31-7-9 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2000]: Sec. 9. A permit holder may not place or allow the placement of an automated teller machine on the premises of a permit holder's racetrack or satellite facility.
    SECTION 3. IC 4-33-2-3.5 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2000]: Sec. 3.5. "Automated teller machine" means a piece of unmanned electronic or mechanical equipment that performs routine financial transactions for authorized individuals.
    SECTION 4. IC 4-33-9-17 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY

1, 2000]: Sec. 17. The owner of a riverboat may not place an automated teller machine on-board the riverboat or in an on shore facility where tokens, chips, or electronic cards used to make wagers are purchased.
