Synopsis: Appropriation for CHOICE in-home services. Increases the appropriations made during each year of the current biennium to the family and social services administration for the CHOICE in-home services program (the 1999 budget act appropriated $42,623,785 for this purpose during each year of the biennium). Specifies that these appropriations do not include intragovernmental transfers to provide the nonfederal share of the Medicaid aged and disabled waiver.

    A BILL FOR AN ACT concerning human services and to make an appropriation.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SOURCE: ; (00)IN0400.1.1. -->     SECTION 1. [EFFECTIVE UPON PASSAGE] (a) Notwithstanding P.L.273-1999, SECTION 8, the following amounts are appropriated from the state general fund to the division of disability, aging, and rehabilitative services of the family and social services administration for total operating expense for C.H.O.I.C.E. IN-HOME SERVICES:
        (1) Forty-six million seven hundred ninety thousand four hundred seventy-seven dollars ($46,790,477) beginning July 1, 1999, and ending June 30, 2000.
        (2) Sixty-five million one hundred twenty-three thousand seven hundred eighty-five dollars ($65,123,785) beginning July 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 2001.
    (b) Notwithstanding P.L.273-1999, SECTION 8, the appropriations made by this act do not include intragovernmental transfers to provide the nonfederal share of the Medicaid aged and disabled waiver.
    (c) The appropriations made by this act are in place of and not

in addition to the appropriations made for the same purpose by P.L.273-1999, SECTION 8.
    (d) This SECTION expires July 1, 2001.
