Distribution of tobacco settlement funds. Provides that $8,000,000 of the money received by the state under the tobacco settlement agreement between the state and tobacco companies shall be transferred from the tobacco settlement fund to the Indiana tobacco settlement rural health fund each year. Provides for the distribution of $8,000,000 per year of tobacco settlement money for rural health programs. Provides that $16,000,000 of the money received by the state under the settlement agreement shall be transferred from the tobacco settlement fund to the rural Indiana tobacco settlement fund each year. Provides for the distribution of $16,000,000 per year of tobacco settlement money for former tobacco producers, development of other agricultural enterprises, and offsetting the impact to communities where tobacco will no longer be a commodity. |
