  | DIGEST OF SB 157 (Updated February 21, 2000 3:46 PM - DI 22) Blocking school bus aisles. At the point of departure for transporting passengers, requires the maintenance of school bus emergency escape passages so that exits are not inhibited, obstructed, or rendered hazardous when the school bus is transporting passengers. Provides that a school corporation employing a person who knowingly violates or knowingly directs the violation of the requirement that the school bus emergency escape passages be kept clear commits a Class C misdemeanor. Requires the state school bus committee to adopt and enforce rules to require that each new school bus operated by or on behalf of a school corporation bear the name of the school district on top of the school bus and the number of the school district on the back of the school bus. |
