County payments for mentally ill persons. Requires a local mental health facility to demonstrate that diligent efforts to obtain payment from certain sources for the comfort and care of an individual temporarily placed in the facility pending admission to a state facility have been unsuccessful before a court may order payment from a county's general fund. Limits the amount that may be paid from a county's general fund to the daily rate that would have been paid by the division of family and children if the individual were eligible for assistance from the division of family and children. |
