HOUSE CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION



    A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION congratulating the Penn High School Wildlife Habitat Management Team on its outstanding finishes in state and national competitions.

    Whereas, The national Future Farmers of America (FFA) holds an annual Environmental/Natural Resources Career Development competition that tests students' problem-solving and decision-making skills pertaining to various environmental and natural resources issues;

    Whereas, Participants compete on local and state levels for the privilege of representing their home state at the national FFA convention;

    Whereas, The Penn High School Wildlife Habitat Management Team participated in the 2000 Indiana State FFA Environmental/Natural Resources Career Development Competition. Winning the state championship, the team earned the honor of representing Indiana in competition at the national FFA convention; and

    Whereas, Competing against teams from across the nation, the Penn High School Wildlife Habitat Management Team placed fourth in the national competition: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives

of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana,

the Senate concurring:



    SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly recognizes the hard work and dedication displayed by the members of the Penn High School Wildlife Habitat Management Team and congratulates the students on winning the state title and on their fourth place finish in the national FFA competition.
    SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to each member of the Penn High School Wildlife Habitat Management Team; the coach, Mel Lenig; and the principal of Penn High School, Patrick Weil.
