Synopsis: Community and home based care. Appropriates $74,500,000 beginning July 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002, and $74,500,000 beginning July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, to the division of disability, aging, and rehabilitative services from the state general fund to use for funding of the community and home options to institutional care for the elderly and disabled program. Appropriates $11,000,000 beginning July 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002, and $33,900,000 beginning July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, to the office of Medicaid policy and planning for funding of the Medicaid waiver for assisted living program. Appropriates $2,000,000 beginning July 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002, and $5,150,000 beginning July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, to the office of Medicaid policy and planning for funding of the Medicaid waiver for the adult foster care program. Appropriates $3,110,645 beginning July 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002, and $5,355,946 beginning July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, to the office of Medicaid policy and planning for funding of the Medicaid waiver for the enhanced adult day care program.

    A BILL FOR AN ACT concerning human services and to make an appropriation.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SOURCE: ; (01)IN1620.1.1. -->     SECTION 1. [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2001] (a) There is appropriated to the division of disability, aging, and rehabilitative services established by IC 12-9-1-1 from the state general fund the following amounts:
        (1) Seventy-four million five hundred thousand dollars ($74,500,000) beginning July 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002.
        (2) Seventy-four million five hundred thousand dollars ($74,500,000) beginning July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003.
    (b) The division shall use the funds appropriated in subsection (a) for the purpose of funding the community and home options to institutional care for the elderly and disabled program (CHOICE).
    (c) The funds appropriated under subsection (a):
        (1) do not revert to the state general fund at the end of any state fiscal year; and
        (2) are in addition to any other funds appropriated for the

CHOICE program.
    (d) This SECTION expires July 1, 2003.

SOURCE: ; (01)IN1620.1.2. -->     SECTION 2. [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2001] (a) There is appropriated to the office of Medicaid policy and planning established by IC 12-8-6-1 from the state general fund the following amounts:
        (1) Eleven million dollars ($11,000,000) beginning July 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002.
        (2) Thirty-three million nine hundred thousand dollars ($33,900,000) beginning July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003.
    (b) The office of Medicaid policy and planning shall use the funds appropriated in subsection (a) for the purpose of funding the Medicaid waiver for assisted living.
    (c) The funds appropriated under subsection (a):
        (1) do not revert to the state general fund at the end of any state fiscal year; and
        (2) are in addition to any other funds appropriated for funding the Medicaid waiver for assisted living.
    (d) This SECTION expires July 1, 2003.

        (2) are in addition to any other funds appropriated for the adult foster care program.
    (d) This SECTION expires July 1, 2003.

         (1) Three million one hundred ten thousand six hundred

forty-five dollars ($3,110,645) beginning July 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002.
        (2) Five million three hundred fifty-five thousand nine hundred forty-six dollars ($5,355,946) beginning July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003.
    (b) The office of Medicaid policy and planning shall use the funds appropriated in subsection (a) for the purpose of funding the Medicaid waiver for the enhanced adult day care program.
    (c) The funds appropriated under subsection (a):
        (1) do not revert to the state general fund at the end of any state fiscal year; and
        (2) are in addition to any other funds appropriated for the enhanced adult day care program.
    (d) This SECTION expires July 1, 2003.
