SENATE CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION



    A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION to congratulate the students of the Whitko High School Art Department on their successful competition at the 31st Exhibition of World School Children's Art held in the Republic of China, Taipei.

    Whereas, the Republic of China, Taipei sponsored the 31st World School Children's Art Exhibition to promote mutual understanding and friendship among the younger generation of the world;

    Whereas, Whitko High School was one of 26 schools representing the United States in this international art exhibition involving 53 countries;

    Whereas, Hannah Brenneman, Whitko High School sophomore, received great accolades and a gold medal for her artwork entitled "The Coast is Not Clear"; and

    Whereas, six (6) students of the Whitko High School Art Department, namely Miranda Krider, John Woods, Josanne Begley, Ashley Schrader, Tayler Kreider, and Rachel Davis, received selected medals in this international art exhibition . Therefore,


Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly

of the State of Indiana, the House of Representatives concurring:


    SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly is grateful for the meritorious representation of this great state by Whitko High School's award-winning art students at the 31st World School Children's Art Exhibition held in the Republic of China, Taipei.
    SECTION 2. That we are proud of Whitko High School's historic accomplishments in both national and international student art competition.
    SECTION 3. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this resolution to Whitko High School Art Department Director Walter C. Malicki, Principal Larry L. Stoner, and students Hannah Brenneman, Elizabeth Woodruff, Rebecca Morford, Beth Hockemeyer, Miranda Krider, Blake Hike, Kalie Bingley, Nathan Collier, John Woods, Jessica Ringle, Danielle Burnworth, Chelsey Grant, Samantha Ferrill, Josanne Begley, Ashley Schrader, Amber Sielesnen, Tayler Kreider, and Rachel Davis.
