Reimbursements by county jail inmates. Requires a prisoner who is lawfully detained in a county jail in a county with a population less than six thousand to reimburse the county for the cost of the detention if certain criteria are present. Allows a county to use money in the county prisoner reimbursement fund for the costs of care, maintenance, and housing of prisoners, including the cost of housing prisoners in the facilities of another county. Makes the maximum per diem to be paid by an inmate $50 per day. |
