    A HOUSE RESOLUTION to recognize Mallory Tarr, the 2001-2002 Indiana FFA State Reporter, for her efforts of promoting FFA and its values.

    Whereas, Mallory has been active on the chapter, district, state, and national levels;

    Whereas, she has served as a chapter and District officer and was also a guest speaker at Franklin's Junior FFA Chapter, Johnson County Farm Animal Days, and at various other local organizations;

    Whereas, Mallory attended four National Conventions, four State Conventions, the Washington Leadership Conference, the state leadership camp, the Premier Leadership Training, and has counseled three greenhand and two leadership camps;

    Whereas, Mallory has been in 4-H for nine years and was involved in the Junior Leaders and the 4-H Ambassadors program, she was a member of Franklin's academic competition team, International and Bible Club, she served as the reporter, page layout team member, and photographer of her school newspaper, and she served as a delegate for Hoosier Girls State;     
    Whereas, she has participated in the Career Development Events and Leadership Contests including being a member of the soils, parliamentary procedure and meats evaluation teams, competing and winning second place in the state creed speaking contest, and competing in prepared public speaking and leadership ambassador contests in the district and state levels;

    Whereas, Mallory's Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) is in the area of specialty animal production placement in which she takes care of the family's dairy goat herd;

    Whereas, Mallory plans to attend Purdue University and major in agricultural communications and pursue a career in public relations for an agriculturally based company;

    Whereas, she and six other officers will be traveling across Indiana to promote agricultural education and the FFA.
Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. That the House of Representatives of the Indiana General Assembly recognize Mallory Tarr, the Indiana FFA State Reporter, for her efforts to promote FFA and its values.
    SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a copy of this resolution to Mallory Tarr.
