Synopsis: Worker's compensation rating bureau financial statement. Requires the worker's compensation rating bureau to file with the commissioner of insurance, not later than March 1 each year, a certified financial statement of charges and expenses for the prior calendar year.

    A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning insurance.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. IC 27-7-2-3.2 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2002]: Sec. 3.2. (a) Not later than March 1 each year, the bureau shall:
        (1) prepare; and
        (2) file;
with the commissioner a certified financial statement of the charges and expenses described in section 9 of this chapter for the twelve (12) month period ending on the previous December 31.

     (b) The bureau shall serve a copy of the certified financial statement by certified mail on each member of the bureau.
    (c) The certified financial statement must be available for public inspection at the office of the commissioner.
