    A BILL FOR AN ACT concerning transportation and to make an appropriation.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2002] (a) There is appropriated to the Indiana department of transportation ten million dollars ($10,000,000) from the state general fund for its use in developing a high speed rail system during the state fiscal year beginning July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003.
    (b) This SECTION expires July 1, 2003.
