    A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning utilities and transportation.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SOURCE: IC 8-1-2-128; (02)IN1377.1.1. -->     SECTION 1. IC 8-1-2-128 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2002]: Sec. 128. (a) For purposes of this section, "Internet service provider" means a company or other entity that provides access to the Internet.
    (b) An Internet call that originates in a local calling area and terminates to an Internet service provider in the same calling area is:
        (1) local telecommunications traffic; and
        (2) subject to the jurisdiction of the commission.
