SENATE CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION



    A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION recognizing and honoring James A. Argerbright for his years of distinguished service to the banking industry and to offer congratulations on his retirement.

    Whereas, James A. "Augey" Argerbright graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in May 1970 and continued his education at Purdue University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in May 1974. After graduating from college, Augey pursued a career in the banking industry;

    Whereas, Augey has enjoyed a long and distinguished career, serving as Assistant Vice President of Branch Operations for Federal Land Bank for nine years and as Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer for STAR Financial Bank since October 1984;

    Whereas, in addition, Augey has also served his community in numerous capacities, including County Commissioner for twelve years and President and Vice- President of the Drainage Board. He served as a member of the Economic Development Commission, the Redevelopment Commission, the Solid Waste Board, and the Planning Commission, as well as various local boards; and

    Whereas, Augey currently serves as the Treasurer of the Gun Club in Churubusco and a member of Ducks Unlimited

of Whitley County: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly

of the State of Indiana, the House of Representatives concurring:


    SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly hereby recognizes the outstanding career and the many community contributions of James A. Argerbright and honors him upon his retirement.
    SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate shall transmit a copy of this Resolution to James Argerbright.
