A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION honoring Millie Cox, Vice
President, Governmental Affairs Indiana Credit Union League for her
years of service.
Whereas, Millie Cox was promoted to consultant three
years later, and promoted again in 1982, as the legislative
coordinator. It was in this position that she began lobbying
on behalf of Indiana Credit Unions. In 1986 Millie was
promoted to Vice President of Governmental Affairs;
Whereas, Millie Cox and her staff were responsible for
lobbying the Indiana General Assembly and the U. S.
Congress, analyzing regulations and legislation, serving as
liaison between credit unions and regulatory agencies along
with other governmental entities that effect credit unions;
Whereas, Millie Cox is well-known at the Statehouse and
in Washington D.C. for her passionate convictions and her
strong efforts on behalf of Indiana's credit unions;
Whereas, Millie Cox has spent her career working to
ensure that credit unions provide the best financial services
possible to their members;
Whereas, in her free time, Millie is an avid student of
history and enjoys reading, theater and genealogical research;
Whereas, Millie Cox states that "I believe in credit
unions, I love what I do and I can't imagine working in any
other industry."
SECTION 2. The Principal Clerk of the House of
Representatives is directed to transmit a copy of this
resolution to Millie Cox, Vice President, Governmental
Affairs Indiana Credit Union League.
