    A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning state police, civil defense and military affairs.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. IC 10-5-4-4 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE UPON PASSAGE]: Sec. 4. A Social Security number contained in a discharge record is confidential and may not be made available for public inspection and copying.
    SECTION 2. An emergency is declared for this act.
