    MR. PRESIDENT:

        I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:

    A SENATE RESOLUTION urging the Legislative Council to assign the topic of home health care regulation in Indiana to the Health Finance Commission.

    Whereas, Home health care can be defined as nursing, therapeutic, medical, social, and aide services provided in a person's home;

    Whereas, Home health care supplies either a nurse or other health care provider to make regularly scheduled visits to the patient's home to check on recuperation and to provide therapy or treatment;

    Whereas, Surveys conducted by the United States Department of Health and Human Services indicate that, overall, home health care deficiencies have increased; and

    Whereas, Home health care must be regulated in order to guarantee that all patients receive quality in-home care: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. That the Legislative Council is urged to assign the topic of home health care regulation in Indiana to the Health Finance Commission.
