A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning

SECTION 1. IC 9-20-11-1, AS AMENDED BY P.L.157-2001,
SECTION 1, IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE
JUNE 1, 2003 (RETROACTIVE)]: Sec. 1. This chapter applies to a
truck, a truck-trailer combination, a
truck-tractor-semitrailer-semitrailer, or a truck-wagon combination
that is either:
(1) a municipal waste collection and transportation vehicle:
(A) specially designed and equipped with a self-compactor or
(B) used exclusively for garbage, refuse, or recycling
(C) laden with garbage, refuse, or recyclables; or
(2) a disposal plant transporting vehicle certified under
IC 15-2.1-16 that is laden with dead animals or animal parts.

SECTION 2. [EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2003 (RETROACTIVE)]
IC 9-20-11-1, as amended by this act, applies only to violations of
IC 9-20-11 committed after May 31, 2003.
