A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning
environmental law.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SECTION 1. IC 13-17-15 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE
AS A NEW CHAPTER TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE
JANUARY 1, 2004 (RETROACTIVE)]:
Chapter 15. Toll Plazas in Nonattainment Areas
Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "toll plaza" refers to the traffic
lanes, structures, and facilities used to collect tolls from motorists
using a toll road.
Sec. 2. As used in this chapter, "toll road" refers to a highway
operated and maintained under IC 8-15.
Sec. 3. A toll plaza may not be constructed after December 31,
2003, in an air quality control area that has been classified as a
nonattainment area under the federal Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C.
7401 et seq.).
