MR. SPEAKER:

    I move that House Bill 1003 be amended to read as follows:

SOURCE: Page 37, line 20; (05)MO100316.37. -->     Page 37, between lines 20 and 21, begin a new paragraph and insert:
    " Sec. 8. (a) The definitions in IC 3-5-2 apply to this section to the extent they do not conflict with the definitions in this article.
    (b) This section applies to the following:
        (1) An individual or entity that receives a grant, a loan, a tax credit, or another benefit from the corporation or an entity owned or administered by the corporation.
        (2) An officer or board member of an entity described in subdivision (1).
        (3) A political action committee of an entity described in subdivision (1).
        (4) A registered lobbyist who receives compensation from an individual or entity described in subdivision (1), (2), or (3).
    (c) An individual or entity described in subsection (b) may not make a contribution to any of the following:
        (1) An individual appointed to:
            (A) the board; or
            (B) the advisory committee under IC 5-28-5-6.
        (2) A candidate's committee for an individual described in subdivision (1).
    (d) An individual or entity described in subsection (b) may not make a contribution to any of the following during the two (2) years after the individual or entity receives a grant, a loan, a tax credit, or another benefit from the corporation or an entity owned or administered by the corporation:
        (1) A state party committee.
        (2) A committee organized by a legislative caucus of the general assembly.
    (e) An individual appointed to the board or the advisory committee under IC 5-28-5-6, or a candidate's committee for the individual, may not solicit or accept a contribution from an individual or entity described in subsection (b):
        (1) while the individual is a member of the board or advisory committee; or
        (2) during the two (2) years after the individual ceases to serve on the board or advisory committee.
    (f) A person who knowingly or intentionally violates this section commits a Class D felony.
".
    Page 193, between lines 1 and 2, begin a new paragraph and insert:
SOURCE: ; (05)MO100316.135. -->     "SECTION 135. [EFFECTIVE UPON PASSAGE] IC 5-28-4-8, as added by this act, applies only to contributions made after the effective date of this act.".
    Renumber all SECTIONS consecutively.
