    A minority of your Committee on       Elections and Apportionment     , which met on March 10, 2005, to consider       Senate Bill 483     , has had the same under consideration and begs leave to report the same back to the House with the recommendation that said bill be amended as follows:

    Page 7, line 8, delete "(a) This section".
    Page 7, delete lines 9 through 10.
    Page 7, line 11, delete "(b)".
    Page 7, run in lines 8 through 11.
    Page 7, delete lines 13 through 42.
    Delete pages 8 through 11, begin a new paragraph and insert:
SOURCE: ; (05)CR048301.3. -->     "SECTION 3. [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2005] (a) As used in this SECTION, "committee" refers to the interim study committee on voter identification established by this SECTION.
    (b) The interim study committee on voter identification is established. The committee shall study all aspects of the question

of requiring voters to provide identification at the polls.
    (c) The committee shall operate under the policies governing study committees adopted by the legislative council.
    (d) The affirmative votes of a majority of the voting members appointed to the committee are required for the committee to take action on any measure, including final reports.
    (e) This SECTION expires November 1, 2005.
    Renumber all SECTIONS consecutively.

and when so amended that said bill do pass.
