    A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION to honor the Tri-West High School Football Team for winning the 2004 Indiana High School Class 2A Football Championship.

    Whereas, The 2004 Indiana High School Class 2A Football Championship was held in the RCA Dome in Indianapolis on November 26th;

    Whereas, The Tri-West Bruins posted an undefeated regular season with 15 wins leading up to the 2004 championship game;

    Whereas, Tri-West emerged victorious in this year's 62- 21 rout against the No. 4 ranked Eastbrook Panthers;

    Whereas, Tri-West's sophomore quarterback, Tyler Bruce, completed 16-of-25 passes for 302 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 101 yards on nine carries, including two touchdown runs;

    Whereas, Junior wide receiver/defensive back Chris Rutherford had five catches for 97 yards, including a 2-yard touchdown catch and an 85-yard interception return;

    Whereas, Bruins' senior running back, Adam Quilter, opened the game's scoring with a 15-yard touchdown run and finished the game with 79 yards on 15 carries;



    Whereas, The Tri-West Bruins were skillfully coached by Head Coach and Athletic Director, Mark Haste, along with his talented team of assistant coaches; and

    Whereas, This is the Bruins 2nd Consecutive Class 2A State Title and their 3rd overall: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives

of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana,

the Senate concurring:


    SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives, the Senate concurring, do honor the Tri-West High School Football Team for winning the 2004 Indiana High School Class 2A Football Championship.
    SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a copy of this Resolution to Head Coach and Athletic Director, Mark Haste.
