    A BILL FOR AN ACT concerning education.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

[EFFECTIVE UPON PASSAGE] (a) The department of education shall study and investigate the costs associated with changing the ISTEP program testing date from the fall of a school year to the spring of a school year. The study must include examining administrative matters, fiscal matters, and procedural matters of changing the testing date. The department shall report the results of its study in an electronic format under IC 5-14-6 to the general assembly before November 1, 2005.
    (b) This SECTION expires November 2, 2005.
