Synopsis: Use of the common school fund. Provides that the principal
and interest of the common school fund may be used for kindergarten,
pre-kindergarten, and other early childhood education programs.
Removes language prohibiting diminishment of the principal of the
common school fund.
Effective: This proposed amendment must be agreed to by two
consecutive general assemblies and ratified by a majority of the state's
voters voting on the question to be effective.
