I move that House Bill 1322 be amended to read as follows:
Page 2, between lines 2 and 3, begin a new paragraph and insert:
"SECTION 4. IC 14-8-2-281.6 IS ADDED AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2007]: Sec. 281.6. "Truffle", for the purposes of IC 14-16-3, means a hypogeous fungi of any kind.
Sec. 281.7. "Truffle-pointing pig" for the purposes of IC 14- 16-3, means a pig trained or bred to locate truffles.".
Page 2, after line 35, begin a new paragraph and insert:
"SECTION 5. IC 14-16-3 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE AS A NEW CHAPTER TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2008]:
Chapter 3. Truffle-pointing Pigs
Sec. 1. (a) This chapter applies to a person who owns one or more truffle-pointing pigs for the purpose of selling such pigs.
(b) All truffle-pointed pigs shall be registered with the department of natural resources before such pigs are sold.
Sec. 2. The department shall promulgate rules concerning the registration described in this chapter before July 1, 2008.
Sec. 3. Failure to register under this chapter constitutions a Class C infraction.".
Renumber all SECTIONS consecutively.
