        A RESOLUTION urging the establishment of an interim study committee on food establishment inspection.

    Whereas, Consumers have a right to know that they are eating food that is being prepared in a sanitary facility and is safe for their consumption;

    Whereas, Food establishment inspections should be made at varying times to ensure that the food service rules and regulations are being followed when food is being prepped and served; and

    Whereas, Proper inspections of food establishments will help to protect the health and well-being of all Hoosiers: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. That the legislative council is urged to establish an interim study committee to study food establishment inspection.
    SECTION 2. That the committee, if established, shall operate under the direction of the legislative council and that the committee shall issue a final report when directed to do so by the council.
