A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning
agriculture and animals.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SECTION 1. IC 15-1.5-3-4.5 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA
CODE AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS
[EFFECTIVE UPON PASSAGE]: Sec. 4.5. (a) The commission shall
adopt rules under IC 4-22-2 to provide free admission to the state
fair for veterans and their dependents and for individuals who are
on active duty status in the military and their dependents.
(b) The commission shall cooperate with the Indiana
department of veterans' affairs and the military department of the
state to establish a plan for identifying the individuals who are
eligible for free admission to the state fair under rules adopted
under subsection (a).
