Synopsis: Public safety communications systems districts. Allows a county to adopt an ordinance creating a public safety communications systems and computer facilities district. (Current law provides for districts in only Marion County and Elkhart County.)

    A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning local government.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SOURCE: IC 36-8-15-1; (07)IN0435.1.1. -->     SECTION 1. IC 36-8-15-1 IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2007]: Sec. 1. This chapter applies to a county having:
        (1) a consolidated city; or
        (2) a population of more than one hundred eighty-two thousand seven hundred ninety (182,790) but less than two hundred thousand (200,000).
all counties. However, sections 9.5, 15, 16, 17, and 18 of this chapter apply only to a county having a consolidated city.
