Synopsis: Daylight saving time. Requires the governor to petition the United States Department of Transportation to initiate proceedings under the Uniform Time Act to locate all of Indiana in the Central Time Zone.

    A BILL FOR AN ACT concerning general provisions.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SOURCE: ; (08)IN0034.1.1. -->     SECTION 1. [EFFECTIVE UPON PASSAGE] (a) The governor shall petition the United States Department of Transportation to initiate proceedings under the Uniform Time Act of 1966 to locate all of Indiana in the Central Time Zone.
    (b) This SECTION expires January 1, 2010.
