    A BILL FOR AN ACT concerning local government.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SOURCE: ; (08)SB0149.1.1. -->     SECTION 1. [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2008] (a) An individual serving as coroner on July 1, 2008, is required to complete the training course required by IC 36-2-14-23(a) before January 1, 2009.
    (b) An individual serving as deputy coroner on July 1, 2008, is required to complete the training course required by IC 36-2-14-23(b) before July 1, 2009.
    (c) An individual who fails to comply with this SECTION is subject to the penalties set forth in IC 36-2-14-23(e).
    (d) This SECTION expires December 31, 2012.
