    A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION memorializing United States Marine Corporal Gregory S. Stultz.

    Whereas, United States Marine Corporal Gregory S. Stultz, born and raised in Brazil, Indiana, held a deep desire to serve others. Gregory was a dedicated son, brother and soldier; and

Whereas, Gregory graduated from Northview High School in 2006, competing with the Northview wrestling team and serving as captain of the football team as a senior; and

    Whereas, Corporal Stultz enlisted with the Marines in 2007; and

    Whereas, Corporal Stultz is the grandson of William Stultz, Sr. who gave the ultimate sacrifice for his country; and

Whereas, during his military career Corporal Stultz was recognized for his service by the presentation of the Sea Service Deployment Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, National Defense Medal and a Meritorious Mast Certificate as well as a letter of appreciation from a high ranking Officer; and


    Whereas, Corporal Stultz was serving his first tour in Helmand Province, Afghanistan when he was killed in action on February 19, 2010; and

Whereas, Corporal Stultz is survived by his mother Kim Stultz and Kevin Jackson, of Brazil; father Bill Stultz Jr., of Spencer; brothers Zach Stulutz and Jeremiah Jackson, both of Brazil; sisters Jessie Stultz, Miriah Stultz, Haley Stultz, and Sienna Jackson, all of Brazil; nephew Jaxon Gregory Lee Singer, grandparents Randy and Jena Lalen, Yvonna Lalen, all of Brazil; Dorothy Cooper and Commodore Cooper, also of Brazil, uncles Randy Lalen, Dustin Lalen, Curt Cooper and Mason Cooper, cousins Dustin Joseph Lalen, Wyatt Lalen, Trista Anderson, Cade Cooper and Hayden Cooper, as well as a very close friend, Christopher Dean; and

Whereas, the nation and the state of Indiana will be forever indebted to United States Marine Corporal Gregory S. Stultz, who, in the call of duty, willingly gave so much for his country; Therefore

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives

of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana,

the Senate concurring:

                                

    SECTION 1. . That the Indiana General Assembly memorializes United States Marine Corporal Gregory S. Stultz.
    SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the Indiana General Assembly is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this resolution to United States Marine Corporal Gregory S. Stultz's family with somber recognition of his service and dedication to the state of Indiana and the United States of America.
