A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning

SECTION 1. IC 27-8-11-4.7 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE
AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY
1, 2010]: Sec. 4.7. An agreement under section 3 of this chapter
must not require a dentist to accept an amount set by the insurer
as payment for health care services provided to an insured unless
the dentist is compensated for the health care services by the

SECTION 2. IC 27-13-34-15.2 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA
CODE AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS
[EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2010]: Sec. 15.2. A contract described in
section 15 of this chapter must not require a dentist to accept an
amount set by the limited service health maintenance organization
as payment for limited health services provided to an enrollee
unless the dentist is compensated for the health care services by the
limited service health maintenance organization.

SECTION 3. [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2010] (a) IC 27-8-11-4.7, as
added by this act, applies to an agreement under IC 27-8-11-3 that
is entered into, amended, or renewed after June 30, 2010.
(b) IC 27-13-34-15.2, as added by this act, applies to a contract
described in IC 27-13-34-15 that is entered into, amended, or
renewed after June 30, 2010.
(c) This SECTION expires June 30, 2015.
