    I move that House Bill 1406 be amended to read as follows:

    Page 1, line 11, delete "An institution may" and insert " However, a police officer appointed under this chapter may exercise the police powers granted under this chapter to pursue in fresh pursuit (as defined in IC 35-33-3-5) and arrest a person who the police officer reasonably believes has committed an offense on any real property owned or occupied by the educational institution employing the police officer, including the streets passing through or adjacent to the educational institution.".
    Page 1, delete lines 12 through 17.
    Page 2, delete lines 1 through 16.
    Page 2, between lines 20 and 21, begin a new paragraph and insert:
