Synopsis: Payment plan for driver's license reinstatement. Permits the bureau of motor vehicles to implement a payment plan for individuals to pay penalties the payment of which is contingent on reinstatement of driving privileges.

Effective: July 1, 2011.

    A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning motor vehicles.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SOURCE: IC 9-29-1-10; (11)IN0226.1.1. -->     SECTION 1. IC 9-29-1-10 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2011]: Sec. 10. (a) The bureau may implement a payment plan for the payment of fees required under this title for reinstatement of a driver's license.
    (b) Fees paid under the payment plan are not refundable.
    (c) Fees paid under the payment plan must be applied toward the total amount of fees due from a person for reinstatement of the person's driver's license.
