The Senate Committee on Health and Provider Services, to which was referred Senate Bill No. 331, has
had the same under consideration and begs leave to report the same back to the Senate with the
recommendation that said bill be AMENDED as follows:

"SECTION 24. [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2011] (a) During the 2011
legislative interim, the probate code study commission established
by IC 2-5-16-2 shall study whether the probate code should be
amended to permit the sale of real estate located in Indiana to
satisfy a claim by:
(1) the office of Medicaid policy and planning;
(2) the United States;
(3) the state; or
(4) a subdivision of the state;
against a decedent regardless of whether letters testamentary or of
administration are issued within five (5) months of the decedent's
