    I move that Engrossed Senate Bill 286 be amended to read as follows:

    (b) Employees of the department of child services (established as a division of the state police department on July 1, 2012) are civilian employees and eligible for pensions and benefits that were available to department of child services employees on June 30, 2012.

    (b) The governor shall appoint a superintendent of the state police department appointed under IC 10-11-2-6 is the director who is responsible for administering the department of child services. The director:
        (1) serves at the governor's pleasure; and
        (2) is entitled to compensation set by the budget agency.".
