SENATE RESOLUTION


     MADAM PRESIDENT:

    I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:

    A SENATE RESOLUTION urging the Legislative Council to assign an interim study committee the study of laws restricting or regulating commerce in the state of Indiana on Sundays.

    Whereas, There are several laws in Indiana that restrict or regulate commerce on Sundays, including, but not limited to, the laws restricting alcohol sales and the sale of motorcycles; and


    Whereas, It would be prudent to study the economic impact of these laws: Therefore,

                                
Be it resolved by the Senate of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:


    SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate urges the Legislative Council to assign an interim study committee the study of laws restricting or regulating commerce in the state of Indiana on Sundays.
    SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to the Legislative Council through the Executive Director of the Legislative Services Agency.
