    I move that House Bill 1357 be amended to read as follows:

SOURCE: IC 20-26-5-4.1; (13)MO135705.6. -->     "SECTION 6. IC 20-26-5-4.1 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2013]: Sec. 4.1. A superintendent hired under section 4 of this chapter must demonstrate that the superintendent fulfills the following requirements:
        (1) Has sworn or affirmed the oath required under IC 20-28-5-4.
        (2) Has not been convicted of a felony set forth in IC 20-28-5-8(c).
        (3) Does not have a delinquent tax liability with the department of state revenue.
        (4) Has successfully completed training in:
            (A) cardiopulmonary resuscitation that includes a test demonstration on a mannequin;
            (B) removing a foreign body causing an obstruction in an airway;
            (C) the Heimlich maneuver; and
            (D) the use of an automated external defibrillator.
        (5) Either:
            (A) holds a valid certification in each of the procedures described in subdivision (4) issued by:
                (i) the American Red Cross;
                (ii) the American Heart Association; or
                (iii) a comparable organization or institution approved by the department; or
            (B) has physical limitations that make it impracticable for the applicant to complete a course or certification described in subdivision (4) or clause (A).
        (6) Has successfully completed education and training in the following areas:
            (A) The prevention of child suicide and the recognition of signs that a student may be considering suicide.
            (B) Warning signs of child abuse or child sexual abuse.
            (C) Legal reporting requirements for suspected child abuse or child sexual abuse.
        (7) Has at least seven (7) years experience in education administration.
    Renumber all SECTIONS consecutively.
