HOUSE BILL No. 1263



    A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning motor vehicles.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SOURCE: IC 8-23-9-55; (13)IN1263.1.1. -->     SECTION 1. IC 8-23-9-55 IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2013]: Sec. 55. (a) Money in the state highway fund shall be used for the following:
        (1) Operation of the department.
        (2) Construction, reconstruction, operation, maintenance, and control of the state highways that are the responsibility of the department and of tollways that are the responsibility of the department under IC 8-15-3.
     (b) Money in the state highway fund may be used for the construction, reconstruction, operation, and maintenance of ground access points to and from airports, landing fields, and other navigation facilities that:
        (1) are part of the state airports system plan; and
        (2) are not owned or maintained by a private enterprise.
