Synopsis: Health professions licenses. Provides standardized requirements for health
professions concerning: (1) attesting compliance with continuing education requirements; (2)
auditing compliance with continuing education requirements; and (3) reinstating a health
professional's lapsed license, certificate, or registration. (This conference committee report does
the following: (1) Removes a provision that authorized the health professions board to establish
requirements for the reporting of continuing education on license renewal forms for physicians
and that allowed the board to audit physicians for the purpose of verifying continuing education
hours reported. (2) Removes a provision that provided that a person who has a bachelor's degree
in social work and meets certain other requirements may be licensed as a bachelor's social
worker.)
Effective: July 1, 2001.

Your Conference Committee appointed to confer with a like committee from the Senate
upon Engrossed House Amendments to Engrossed Senate Bill No. 428 respectfully reports
that said two committees have conferred and agreed as follows to wit:
