Synopsis: Medicaid. Establishes the select joint commission on Medicaid oversight. Provides for the appointment of commission members and establishes meeting procedures. Allows the commission to meet at any time during the calendar year. Provides that the commission expires December 31, 2003. Repeals prior authorization for the commission. Provides that the office of Medicaid policy and planning (OMPP) and its payment claims contractor must accept certain claim forms and may not mandate the use of a crossover claim form. (This conference committee report makes technical corrections and adds a provision that prohibits OMPP and its payment claims contractor from mandating the use of a crossover claim form.)

Effective: January 1, 2001 (retroactive); July 1, 2001.

    Your Conference Committee appointed to confer with a like committee from the House upon Engrossed House Amendments to Engrossed Senate Bill No. 216 respectfully reports that said two committees have conferred and agreed as follows to wit:

    that the Senate recede from its dissent from all House amendments and that the Senate now concur in all House amendments to the bill and that the bill be further amended as follows:

    Delete the amendment made pursuant to the committee report of the Committee of One adopted April 12, 2001.
