Synopsis: Civil actions involving LP gas. Conference committee report for ESB 360. Permits an individual to bring a civil action against a person who misuses a liquified petroleum (LP) gas container. Permits the recovery of damages, court costs, and attorney's fees. (This conference committee report removes a provision permitting the civil rights commission to award attorney's fees to a prevailing complainant in a discrimination action brought before the commission, removes a provision permitting the award of costs and attorney's fees only to the prevailing party, and removes the repeal of a provision mandating that 75% of a punitive damages award go to the state.)

Effective: July 1, 2002.

Your Conference Committee appointed to confer with a like committee from the Senate upon Engrossed House Amendments to Engrossed Senate Bill No. 360 respectfully reports that said two committees have conferred and agreed as follows to wit:

that the Senate recede from its dissent from all House amendments and that the Senate now concur in all House amendments to the bill and that the bill be further amended as follows:
