Synopsis: Throwing burning material from motor vehicles. Makes it
a Class A infraction for a person to throw from a moving motor vehicle
a lighted cigarette or other burning material that lands in another motor
vehicle.

A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning
criminal law and procedure.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SECTION 1.
IC 35-45-3-3
IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE
AS A
NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY
1, 2002]:
Sec. 3. A person who throws from a moving motor
vehicle:
(1) a lighted cigarette, cigar, or match; or
(2) other burning material;
that lands in the passenger compartment of another motor vehicle
commits a Class A infraction.
