Synopsis: Criminal mischief. Makes it a Class A misdemeanor for a person to damage a locomotive, a railroad car, a train, railroad signaling equipment, or railroad property on a right-of-way owned, leased, or operated by a railroad company. (This conference committee report removes language that provides that a person who damages certain property owned, leased, or operated by a pipeline company or utility company commits criminal mischief, a Class A misdemeanor. Removes language that makes it a Class D felony if the damage causes a substantial interruption or impairment of a common carrier pipeline.)

Effective: July 1, 2002.

    Your Conference Committee appointed to confer with a like committee from the House upon Engrossed House Amendments to Engrossed Senate Bill No. 239 respectfully reports that said two committees have conferred and agreed as follows to wit:

    that the Senate recede from its dissent from all House amendments and that the Senate now concur in all House amendments to the bill and that the bill be further amended as follows:
