DIGEST OF INTRODUCED BILL

Deferral of property tax payments. Allows a taxpayer (who must be a senior citizen or the surviving spouse of a senior citizen) to defer payment of a portion of the property taxes on the taxpayer's homestead if certain criteria are met. Allows deferral of payment of the portion of the property taxes which exceeds a certain base amount.
