COMMITTEE REPORT




MADAM PRESIDENT:

    The Senate Committee on Economic Development and Technology, to which was referred Senate Bill No. 551, has had the same under consideration and begs leave to report the same back to the Senate with the recommendation that said bill be AMENDED as follows:

    Delete the title and insert the following:
    A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning health.

        " (8) Review efforts in other states concerning health information exchange.
        (9) Encourage and facilitate the development of health information exchange for those areas of Indiana where health care referral patterns cross state boundaries.
        (10) Encourage and endorse interoperability standards.
