Sex and violent offenders. Requires persons convicted of murder, voluntary manslaughter, aggravated battery, arson as a Class A felony, or possession of a weapon of mass destruction with the intent to carry out terrorism to register on the Indiana sex and violent offender registry under the same conditions as sex offenders. Requires the department of correction to place sex offenders or violent offenders required to register on the sex and violent offender registry in credit class IV, and specifies that persons in credit class IV earn one day of credit for each six days of incarceration. Makes other changes and conforming amendments. |
