License plates. Provides that, with the consent of the person registering certain vehicles, the bureau of motor vehicles (bureau) may release the person's name and address and the date of expiration of registration of the vehicles to certain organizations. Contains provisions for the design of the support our troops license plate (plate). Raises the supplemental annual fee for the plate from $20 to $25. Provides that a plate may be displayed on a motorcycle. Establishes the support our troops fund, and provides for the deposit of certain fees that formerly were deposited in the military family relief fund in the support our troops fund. Provides that the bureau may not use a new design of the plate until supplies of the former plate have been issued in full by the bureau. Makes a technical correction. Makes conforming amendments. |
