COMMITTEE REPORT




MADAM PRESIDENT:

    The Senate Committee on Tax and Fiscal Policy, to which was referred Senate Bill No. 488, has had the same under consideration and begs leave to report the same back to the Senate with the recommendation that said bill be AMENDED as follows:

SOURCE: Page 1, line 1; (09)AM048801.1. -->     Page 1, delete lines 1 through 17, begin a new paragraph and insert:
SOURCE: IC 9-29-8-7; (09)AM048801.1. -->     "SECTION 1. IC 9-29-8-7, AS AMENDED BY P.L.106-2008, SECTION 35, IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2009]: Sec. 7. All money collected by the secretary of state from manufacturers, factory branches, distributors, distributor branches, dealers, automobile auctioneers, factory representatives, distributor representatives, wholesale dealers, transfer dealers, converter manufacturers, or brokers for licenses and permit fees under IC 9-23-2 shall be deposited as follows:
        (1) Thirty percent (30%) to the dealer compliance account established by IC 9-23-2-18.
        (2) Seventy percent (70%) Forty percent (40%) to the motor vehicle highway account.
        (3) Twenty percent (20%) to the state police for use in enforcing odometer laws.

        (4) Ten percent (10%) to the attorney general for use in enforcing odometer laws.

and when so amended that said bill do pass .
